Marie-Claire Robson studied History and Archaeology at Durham and has maintained an active interest ever since. She now works in education, but has a PGDip in historic building conservation and experience in this field, as well as in museums delivering formal and informal sessions to varied audiences. This included costumed role play! Her current involvement in history is in a voluntary capacity, recently including the Homeless History of Newcastle, historic farm building surveys and personal research. Her areas of interest are wide ranging, embracing maritime history, women in business and education, local history and genealogy, amongst others. The main draw is discovering the personal stories of individuals, so memoir and biography are personal favourites.
