Anne Milton-Worssell
Anne Milton-Worssell is a founder member of FACHRS, having taken DA301 with the Open University in 1996. Her interest in Family and Community History began years before that when she was a Local History Librarian in North Tyneside, then in Richmond upon Thames and finally in Islington. After a maternity gap she undertook an Open University Degree and then went on to work at Surrey University on their Open Arts Degree teaching history and local history and at the same time gaining an MA in Local and Regional History from Sussex University. More recently she took up a role as an Associate Lecturer with the Open University, and has only now, on retiring from that, found enough time to be more than a lurker in the Society. She has written material on Saving the View from Richmond Hill, and the preservation of Commons in Surrey, but has a wide interest in the history of Surrey and its inhabitants. A regular tutor in Family History, she is still trying to find time to work on her own family genealogy!
