Normally each year Brita Wood and some members of FACHRS travel all over the UK taking the Roadshow to live Family History Fairs and Shows. At each venue FACHRS have a table to exhibit copies of FACHRS newsletters, journals, books and CD’s together with information literature about the society. We get the opportunity to chat to people explaining what FACHRS is all about and what we have achieved with our research projects. We hope you will join the society and also make a few purchases.

During 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19 physical fairs and shows had to been cancelled, and replaced with virtual shows. At one of these shows FACHRS has a virtual stall/booth where we often have a video explaining what FACHRS is about and a display of our products. You have an opportunity to chat to Brita Wood or an existing FACHRS member to answer any questions you may have, and if you are interested you can then join the Society.
To visit a virtual show go to their website where you can see who is exhibiting at the show and what talks are available to watch, buy a ticket (some are free or are usually cheaper if you buy in advance) and then log in to the show on the day.
Now in 2023 the Roadshow will be at both virtual and physical. Have a look to see where we will be. Why not attend a physical show or fair and enjoy the experience of walking round the stalls and meeting us ‘face to face’. Keep coming back to see more dates as shows are announced.
