Trustees of the Society are the officers of the Society who also serve as trustees until they leave post. Officers of the Society are elected for a two-year period at the Society’s Annual General Meeting.

| I studied at Coventry Polytechnic, now Coventry University, to get my HND in Mathematics, Statistics and Computing. I then had a career in Banking at Midland Bank which then became HSBC. I have always been interested in history, especially family and social history and joined FACHRS in 2006, becoming a committee member in 2013. I accompany the Membership Secretary to Family History Fairs to help get the society more known and to recruit new members. |

Helen Conchar’s parents are from Cumbria but moved to Coventry after their marriage and she was brought up in Warwickshire. She has had a love of history since primary school and been fascinated by her family history since her mother showed her some death cards of their relatives. While researching her family tree Helen became interested in her ancestors’ lives and the areas where they lived and worked. She is currently involved with setting up meetings for the London branch of the NW Federation of Family history Societies. Helen’s working career has been in accountancy. She lives on the edge of London with her husband, Lee, and their five cats. |

| Membership Secretary and Family History Fairs Programme Coordinator. I have a BA (Hons) in Humanities from the Open University and this included completing the courses Studying Family & Community History 19th and 20th Centuries and Science, Technology and Everyday Life 1870-1950. I am particularly interested in the role of women within 19th and 20th Century social history. I am joint coordinator of the FACHRS School & Community Research Project and am also the co-ordinator of the 2013 FACHRS mini project Victorian School Mistresses 1851 to 1911. |
